Privacy Policy

Skin Simulator is designed to collect as little as possible. There is no user account, no registration, no login, and no server that belongs to this project. The simulator runs entirely inside your browser.

Information we collect

If you submit the contact form, your name, email address and message are sent through FormSubmit to the site owner. We do not request Steam credentials or payment details. Simulation progress is held in your browser session.

Browser storage

Your browser stores your theme preference and dismissal of the disclaimer. Balance, inventory and history are cleared on refresh. The app page also includes Google Analytics measurement and Google AdSense tags; these services may use their own cookies or similar technologies.

Your balance, inventory, credits and opening history are held only in memory for the duration of your visit and are lost when you refresh or close the tab.

Third-party services

The simulator requests game data and market prices from public third-party endpoints. Those requests are made by your browser and are subject to the privacy practices of those providers. Item images are served from Steam’s public content network.

Advertising

This site may display advertising. Advertising partners, including Google, may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can review and adjust how Google uses your data at the Google Ads Settings page, and you can opt out of personalised advertising through your browser or ad-network controls.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the revised version will be published on this page with an updated date.

Measurement and contact providers

Google Analytics may process page visits and device/browser information to measure site usage. FormSubmit handles contact messages. GitHub and Steam content servers receive connection information such as IP addresses when resources are requested. Provider retention and processing follow their own privacy policies.
